Sleep

Okay, I didn't do ANYTHING this weekend..rain makes me sleepy. I hung out with my Uncle mostly, he brought over a metal detector and we scanned the basement... I didn't think we would find anything. we didn't.
I made plans to go with my Uncle and another family friend to play bingo next Friday....yup, I'm hanging with the seniors...but it's something different to do and my Uncle said I can have the money if he wins so that up's my chances to win....hey...it's money people.

Sea Dragon

Well Sandy and I took her kids to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was a nice clear day and we had a lovely time. I did notice that Sandy and I spent our time admiring the fish...and the kids glanced at the fish to run to every interactive display and push buttons...now the aquarium has LOTS of interactive stuff...( good place for kids) well I guess we all got something out of it. There was the coolest sea horses there called Sea Dragons. The looked like floating sea weed...seriously.

Anyway, the re-wire is continuing on at work, and any sort of serious work has gone on hold for me..cause I can't think when someone is drilling by my head. And my work requires serious thought.
So I go in do what I need to do and leave...some day this will be DONE!

Ebony and Ivory

Yesterday the electrician at the center told me he was pulling  cable under one of the buildings and it was full of kitty poo....Now I want to point out that we have rats in the dungeon. Evidently the cats are vegetarians as well as the humans up on the mountains. I get this mental picture of cartoon rats and cats sitting arm and arm singing Ebony and Ivory together. Living in harmony together up at the center as the rats eat the phone system wiring.

The Key

Well our story begins with a failed drive on a network storage device..not a big deal...until I go to look at it to see what kind of drive I need to replace it....only to discover that it needs a key..not just any key..but a barrel key...is it taped to the box? No...is it in the server room? no...the dungeon...no...mean while my network now runs like a turtle...picture that squirl from Ice Age..trying to open that nut...I fell like taking that NAS and knocking it on the ground...sigh, I ended up calling the company that made it..they are sending me a new one...It was a friday that just carried on cause my dsl has failed 2 times...I tried to purchase things off 2 websites..neither worked.

I had to sit on hold with ticketmast for about 1/2 to buy tickets over the phone...

But on the upside I did get sandy and I tickets to Wicked...yipee!

We got front row.....

Drift

I have to admit that it feels unnatural for me to let my life drift. I always feel like there should  be some grand plan that I'm working for. But now I move in bits in pieces. I'm still working on my network...but at of some sort of whim...nothing more than that I applied to do some contracting....and ended up getting that as well. I guess it was a entertainment kind of whim...now a days putting together computer networks is really the only thing that grabs me...which is kinda sad I know.
maybe when I designed a thousand computer networks some great enlightenment will hit me.

water

Well I know I've not posted lately but there really isn't anything to say lately.

I've done a whole fat lot of nothing. Except watch episodes of Rome and read a  book. But then that's what rainy weekends are for huh?

I'm still looking mournfully at my treadmill....my ankle is still swollen BTW.

Mom and I have gone from cooking everything from scratch to acquiring all pre-prepared food from the deli section.

Mom typed a email for a good hour this morning. I looked over as I walked past and all I saw was a rather small paragraph.

" Is that all you've writen?"

mom-" I have to make sure it's all spelled right I don't want them to think I'm a idiot"

Me- "thats what spell check is for"

mom-" spell check where is that...oh, it's the tab that says spell check"

me-" so you really are a idiot then?"

mom ( laughing) "yep"

Row

I feel as if I'm in a row boat of clowns and I'm the only one rowing. A co-worker of mine installed a third party software on my poor little Primary Domain Controller...it's spitting out errors...sigh...big sigh...I'm not even upset...I've been worn down.

Misery

Well after resisting illness all winter I'm slowly sinking into a cold...combined with my ankle it's misery....
ugh..don't expect any cheerful posts.
