Well I took my Mom and Aunty to go see the Afghanistan exibit. It's visiting from Kabul and is quite spectacular. I recomend going if you have the time. Though the SF Asian Art Museum has been forcasting large crowds it wasn't crowded at all. There is quite a bit to see not only in the Afghan exibit but the museum has quite a bit of stuff ( a vast buddha collection) so you'll want to allow plenty of time. The detail in the gold is spectacular....I always ponder how people in such a rough environment can produce such fine work.
Anyway we followed the museum with a dinner at Scoma's. Which was as great as usual.
